Desak Sri grew up in a small village in the central mountains of Bali, a place of magic and stories where art and culture are the lifeblood of the community. Her artistic heritage shines through her work on international film and television. Desak Sri is also a proud Ksatrian (warrior) and the daughter of a Balian (traditional healer). Her rare combination of culture, experience, and lineage makes Desak Sri a formidable force on any film set.

Joseph's life could be an adventure movie. He has spent over twenty-five years as a Marine Biologist in some of the most amazing and remote islands of Indonesia learning the cultures and language before marrying a warrior princess in Bali. And then he changed tack, sailing to Australia to launch a career in film. After seven years living on the boat and making movies, he returned to Bali with only one thing on his mind: to tell stories that matter. Today he a registered foreign Film Directors in Indonesia and has worked as a director producer on international productions shot in Indonesia.

Javi began a promising career as an architect before discovering that what he truly wanted to build was stories. After over a decade in film and television, he arrived in Bali and knew immediately that this was the place to bring his ideas to life. An expert in lighting, camera work, and post-production, Javi has worked in South America, New Zealand, Europe, and Southeast Asia. He has woven magic on fifteen feature films, Netflix projects, and commercial work. Javi has created online budget and expense management systems. Luckily for us, he now calls Bali home.

Surya was the administration manager of a multi-national company before completing a Ph.D. in Business Administration. An accomplished communicator with experience across many sectors, Surya has worked throughout Indonesia from Bali to Papua, successfully navigating the often complex bureaucracy of Indonesia and liaising with traditional communities. Surya is an expert on labour laws, and human resources, providing practical know-how on operating in Indonesia.

Dewa Gede (Dode) is an invaluable team member with experience in production management, post-production co-ordination and I.T. He is our go-to D.I.T. and a multi-tasking member of our crew. Dode graduated in 2020 with a bachelor's in communication majoring in information technology. Dode thrives on the details and ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.

Andi Gita (Sigit) graduated in 2019 from film school at the Institute of Art, Indonesia. Sigit has worked on international projects as an art lead, editor, animator and motion graphics creator. Sigit's artistic eye combined with cultural sensitivity and humour is a key asset for Nusa Film.
